Inspiring, Educating and Developing

We arrived safely about 3.30pm.  The children went immediately  to find out their rooms and groupings.  After a fire drill they went straight to their first activity.  Dinner tonight was a choice of roast chicken, pork cutlets or spaghetti bolognaise.  There was a choice of rice pudding or fruit for dessert.  The children then found the vending machines and we are just about to go out for our last activity of the day 7.00pm - 8.30pm.

After a full English breakfast and cereal, we had a warm sunny morning completing our activities.  Lunch was pasta/jacket potatoes/pasties/hot dogs and salad. Next it was canoeing and kayaking for the whole group.  The weather got a bit colder and the children got wetter but we all enjoyed it despite starting to get cold - only one fell in (Megan) so that was a bonus! After chicken korma/chips/haddock and steak pie we had a room inspection.  Our final activity was a night walk through the countryside.

Another amazing day.  I can't tell you how lucky we have been with the weather.  Today has been really sunny and warm but it is cooling down now.  The children have had another packed day with stacks of different activities such as zip wire, rifles, cycling and climbing.  A full English breakfast again followed by soup and salad for lunch.  Tonight another set of good choices for dinner: sweet and sour, lamb chops or turkey escalopes followed by chocolate sponge and chocolate sauce.  The children have been well behaved so far and are really enjoying themselves but are a bit tired now. Daily room inspections are happening and we have incredibly tidy children! We are having an unannounced room inspection tomorrow however - watch this space...

What a brilliant day we have had!  The children had a good sleep and woke up fresh and ready for a full day of activities.  After a hearty breakfast our groups did abseiling, zip wire and archery.  Lunch today was sausage rolls, pasta, meat and potato pies and chicken burgers with salad. We needed it because this afternoon we had the most amazing walk in full sunshine in the Carding Mill Valley at Church Stretton.  We saw a water spout and lovely lambs.  The view from the top of the hill was breathtaking - the children were blown away by it.  Dinner tonight was cottage pie, chicken kiev or chinese pork.  We are now getting changed for the disco so we can show off our shapes (according to Mr Tyler!).  The unannounced room inspection was very revealing and we will have our final inspection again tonight sometime.  Tonight is worth double points so it's all to play for.
