To celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday this year, we have held various events. We had a very successful street party. The weather was amazing and the children loved it - especially being served by all the adults. Our FS and KS1 pupils were invited to the Jubilee playing fields in the village to throw seed bombs around the edge of the new tennis court. They threw cornflower and forget-me-not seeds in a soil case. These should germinate and produce a beautiful display of blue flowers. Also to celebrate, each year group looked at a different decade of the Queen's reign and looked at key events in history that had occurred. We used this work to produce an exhibition which show cased their work in the hall. It was very well attended by families - thank you.
